  • metamorphosis
  • neurogenesis
  • imaging
  • purinergic signaling

Education:
I started my PhD thesis in the department of neurophysiology and cellular biophysics at the University of Göttingen. The aim of my thesis is to investigate neurogenesis during tissue maintenance and repair in Danio rerio and Xenopus laevis. I did my master thesis in the same working group which dealt with the purinergic system in the vomeronasal organ of the clawed frog Xenopus laevis.

I am interested in the metamorphosis of the olfactory organ and in mechanisms which play a role in the initiation of neurogenesis. Another focus of my thesis is to investigate signalling pathways which are upregulated during neurogeneis.
